Calling all Los Perales artists, musicians, dancers, photographers, filmmakers and writers!

The National Parent Teacher Association's "Reflections" arts program is underway! Entries should be submitted to the LP PTA by October 20 via the Reflections Student Entry Google Form.

The Reflections program encourages students to explore their feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy and expression, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The PTA invites all LP students to join the more than 300,000 Pre-K through Grade 12 students nationwide who take part in this exceptional program every year.

2023-24 Reflections theme

This year's student-selected theme is "I AM HOPEFUL BECAUSE ... " Students can enter from one to all six categories of arts disciplines: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Unleash your creative talent and show us how or why you are hopeful, whether through dance, a short film, a poem or story, an original song, a photo or visual work of art.

Awards and Recognition

Every participating LP student will be recognized by our PTA, with the opportunity for local, state and national awards and recognition through the California Parent Teachers Association (CAPTA) and the national PTA. Students may also be eligible to participate in an arts and awards showcase to be held in early December at a nearby school.
