A Wonderful World of Science!

The LP PTA is excited to bring you this year’s Science Fair! Students are bound to have fun and learn something along the way as they conduct their experiments and present their results at the Science Fair. This video and Information Packet and Application provide the information students need to participate. When ready, students can submit their applications online or in person to the Front Office. Mark your calendar with the following dates:

February 14: Applications become available online and in the LP Front Office
February 28: Applications due no later than 4pm (online or in Front Office basket)
March 4: Cover design entries due (basket in Front Office) (optional activity)
March 8: Applications are returned to students
March 11 - April 12: Pick up Science Fair boards from the office. Bring your Science Fair Number which you'll find on the approved application
April 17: Science Fair 6pm - 8pm
April 18: Pick up Science Fair poster and materials from Oak Room

Science Fair is open to all students in grades 2-5. Students may work individually or in teams of up to three students (no exceptions). Each student or group of students is required to turn in one application reviewed and signed by a parent to make sure all the elements are filled in and the project is viable. Before brainstorming ideas, read about the "scientific method" in the Information Packet. Students should follow this method when performing their science experiments.
