Get ready to B-E-E excited!

The PTA is buzzing with the news of the 2023-24 Los Perales School Spelling Bee for 3rd, 4th and 5th grades! Mark your calendars for Monday, January 22, from 1-3 pm in the Oak Room. (Also reserve January 23 in case we need a second day.)

Leading up to this thrilling event, classroom spelling bees will take place during the week of January 9. The top two winners from each class, along with one alternate, will have the chance to participate in the school bee and showcase their spelling prowess.

Last year's spelling bee was filled with excitement and suspense, and we're eager to see it all unfold again this year. Our school winner will have the honor of representing us in the Scripps Regional Bee. We encourage parents to join us on January 22 and support our LP students as they spell their hearts out. Let's make this year's spelling bee even more memorable with your enthusiastic presence!

Parents of students in grades 3, 4 and 5 may access the Scripps word study lists for Grade 3, Grade 4, and Grade 5 if students would like to study before the Classroom Spelling Bees. Teachers for these grades will administer the Classroom Bees during the week of January 9, when classroom time allows. Teachers may use these lists for the Classroom Bee words and, if needed, additional words that are not on these lists. Good luck S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G!
